Walt began his exploration in to the lapidary hobby back in 1995 as a way to spend time with his daughter while they engaged in a common interest. Over the years he has learned many skills and participated in many different facets of the hobby.
Walt enjoys the leadership roles within the society and is a past president of the Maple Ridge Lapidary Society as well as the British Columbia Lapidary Society. Within these leadership roles he was able to further explore his ability to teach the skills that he had gathered over the years to those who were new in to the lapidary societies or looking to try a different aspect of the hobby.
Now, Walt enjoys imparting his knowledge to people of all ages and skill levels through Peregrine's Roost Art Studio.
